Meridian's First Play to Podium Recipient
Meridian is helping ParaSport Ontario support members of the disability community by getting them "in the game" with the adaptive sports equipment they need. Meet the first equipment recipient from the newly-branded Meridian Play to Podium Fund: Julian Caverley. Julian received his own hockey sled at the 2022 Niagara Games’ Niagara-on-the-Lake Torch Run. He began playing wheelchair basketball at age 11 with the Brock Niagara Penguins. In the winter of 2021, he found his passion for playing on the ice. He joined ParaSport Ontario's new Niagara Sledge Hockey League.
